Photographing Fairies

Photographing Fairies is a beautifully photographed drama inspired by the faked photographs showing fairies that engaged the attention of the Theosophical Society in the second decade of the 20th century. The film itself does not make up its mind whether fairies exist or not. Maybe it should have.
Charles Castle is a young photographer who specializes in trick photographies. He knows a fake when he sees one. During a meeting in the Theosophical Society he reveals a photo of fairies as a fake. Later a woman of the audience, Mrs. Templeton, pays him a visit to show him a photo of her daughter and a fairy. First he dismisses the photo, but after Mrs. Templeton has left, he looks at the photo again and discovers a reflection of a tiny figure in the little girl's eyes.
Photographing Fairies is also a love story about a man who wishes to be reunited with his dead wife. At the same time he is loved by a woman who is very much alive.
