Detroit Rock City

Director Adam Rifkin, who also wrote the script for "Mousehunt", is a gifted filmmaker who adds imaginative physical comedy and cartoon-like style to Detroit Rock City meager script. This almost makes us forget how ordinary the plot of the film is.
In the Midwest in the 1970s four teenagers, Hawk, Lex, Trip and Jam, have got tickets for a Kiss concert in Detroit. When Jam's mother finds the tickets, she burns them because she believes that Kiss are the Devil's diciples. Even worse, she sends Jam to boarding school. What they must do now is free Jam and get new tickets. Easier said than done!
