The Limey

Steven Soderbergh is an unpredictable filmmaker whose films have not much in common. Yet, watching his films makes it apparent that he is often just as or even more concerned with film form than content itself.
The Limey is an example of this preoccupation with style and the way a story can be told. The complex flashback structure is quite confusing to begin with, but after some time of getting used to it, I was sucked into Soderbergh's fascinating fictional universe.
In this extraordinary gangster film, Wilson, an Englishman, just released from prison, travels to Los Angeles to find out who killed his daughter and to revenge himself on the killers.
