Fight Club

Fight Club starts as a thought-provoking and visually effective drama that dares to be critical of our modern existence - and is often so in a very funny way.
The nameless narrator and main character is a white-collar worker numbed by his boring predictable life, which only requires a tiny bit of brain activity. His body is superfluous - until the day he gets into a fist fight with his new friend Tyler Durden just for the fun of it. This is the beginning of the Fight Club, a place where men find an outlet for suppressed instincts, pent-up frustrations and physical reserve.
Midway the film changes into a psychological thriller and forgets all about its initial social criticism, a very disappointing and cowardly development in my opinion, but see for yourself.
